Khloé Kardashian has made a shocking health confession.
In a blog post shared on her official website and app on Tuesday, the reality star revealed that she had eight inches of skin removed from her back after she discovered a cancerous mole.
While she may be showing more and more skin these days –a result of newfound confidence and a trim shape from her dedication to working out almost daily– the outspoken 32-year-old revealed her more vulnerable side when she warned others to check themselves for skin cancer after her own medical scare.

According to her post, Khloé noticed a mole growing under her breast and changing shape several years ago. Although that mole and others turned out benign after being biopsied and tested, another she had checked was cancerous and required surgery.
“I am so grateful that most moles have not been cancerous. However, there was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer. I had 8 inches of skin removed,” she wrote.
While she said the skin removal was painful, Khloé continues to be diligent about checking herself and is “extra aware” of her skin, body, and moles and has urged others to follow suit by checking their skin.

In her post, Khloé directed readers to the “ABCDEs of Skin Cancer” chart, which she said can be used as a “good cheat sheet” for checking for skin cancer signs that may require the attention of a doctor.
In addition, she encouraged people to check themselves frequently –a key part of early detection.
Khloé said she has not “had a problem in years,” and that the issue of skin cancer was also chronicled on an episode of her family’s reality series “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
