Robert Downey Jr. is a dad for a second time!
The “Iron Man” star and his wife, Susan, welcomed son Exton Elias Downey on Tuesday morning, Robert’s rep confirmed to People.
“Everyone is healthy and they couldn’t be happier,” a friend of the couple told the mag.
Exton was born at 7:24 AM, weighing 7 lbs., 5 oz., and measuring 20 inches long.It’s the first child for Robert, 46, and Susan, 38, together. Robert has an 18-year-old son, Indio, from his previous marriage to ex-wife Deborah Falconer.
When Robert and Susan announced their pregnancy back in August, the “Avengers” star joked that a girl might be the best fit for their family.
“I think we should probably try to have a girl because I don’t want another male entity to have to compete,” he said at the time. “I don’t want Indio to feel there’s another boy in my life. But I don’t know what we’d have to do [to have a girl]. Do we have to put it in a spoon and hang it upside-down?”
Robert and Susan wed in August 2005.
