MISTER MOM: As Access Hollywood reported yesterday, Kevin Federline is making plans to go to court amid a custody dispute over his two children with estranged wife Britney Spears. While the exact intentions of Federline’s plans are unclear, US WEEKLY claims that he’s been teaming up with both his mother and Britney’s mother to take care of the children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, while mom Britney has been missing in action. An anonymous source who claims to be close to the Spears family allegedly tells US WEEKLY, “Britney’s family feels that Kevin has been a blessing and they are very impressed with Kevin taking so much responsibility … Britney has not asked to see the kids because she knows she is not well and she does not want to scare Preston. She has no credit cards or cash. She is basically on the run at the moment.” According to our own source, as of late last night, the kids were with Kevin in Tarzana.

A ‘LOST’ EXPLANATION: Another female celebrity who recently faced criticism and legal woes over her reckless behavior has used her official website to explain herself to fans. Michelle Rodriguez, former star of the hit show “Lost,” was arrested last year for drunk driving in Hawaii, where the show is shot. In a post on her website, Rodriguez explains the circumstances that led to her getting behind the wheel on that fateful night, which include steroid injections due to allergies, champagne consumption at fellow cast member Evangeline Lilly‘s house, and refusing an invitation from a concerned Lilly to spend the night, because, as Rodriguez puts it: “I thought to myself: well what if I have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and I pee too loud, or what if I snore, sleep walk, or talk in my sleep. I didn’t feel like I knew her well enough to embarrass myself in her home, let alone sleep over.”

KIMMIE SPEAKS: Another person has used her website as a forum to sound off. Kimberly Walther, commonly known as “Kimmie,” pulls no punches when speaking about the ongoing legal battle that has erupted following the death of her former boss, Anna Nicole Smith. Kimmie was Anna Nicole’s assistant, and is famously known for being fiercely devoted to her. The posts on her website, if truly hers, contain some harsh and damning words for Howard K. Stern following his testimony yesterday, as well as praise and support for Stern’s courtroom nemesis Larry Birkhead, who she refers to as “My hero.”

TRUMP PLANS FOR THE INEVITABLE: Talk of where Anna Nicole Smith‘s body will ultimately be buried has been a hot-button issue of late, but one celebrity is making plans for his final resting place now, while he’s still hale and hearty. Donald Trump has filed paperwork to build a wedding chapel on his golf course in Bedminster, NJ, says the ASSOCIATED PRESS, who report that Trump told The Star-Ledger of Newark that he wants to later convert the building into a mausoleum for himself and his family. Trump called the 525-acre Trump National Golf Club property in picturesque Somerset County hill country, about 50 miles west of Manhattan, a “beautiful place.”

OSCAR BITES: The NEW YORK POST’s CINDY ADAMS spoke with some stars gearing up for Oscar night, including nominees Penelope Cruz, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson. Cruz and Hudson discuss weight issues and body image in Hollywood, while Eddie Murphy reportedly likens his nomination to the joy of watching his children grow: “You know what it’s like? It’s similar to having a new baby. And with all this kind of rush of good will, I have to say my greatest joy in life is seeing how my kids turned out. They are normal and grounded in the midst of showbiz, and that’s a true testament to my ex-wife and me.”
