North Carolina teenager, Jenelle Evans, who stars on MTV’s reality show “Teen Mom 2” has been charged with assault after a fight recorded on video.
Brunswick County authorities say the teen mom star and two other teenage girls are charged with fighting. The 19-year-old Evans and 18-year-old Brittany Maggard are also charged with simple assault.
Authorities started investigating Friday after receiving calls about a video posted online that showed the teens fighting March 21. In the video, Evans appears to be hitting another young woman while bystanders encourage the fight.
Evans, Maggard and 19-year-old Brittany Truett have posted bond and are scheduled for trial April 26. It was not clear if they had attorneys.
The show documents the challenges of four teens’ first years of motherhood.
