Taylor Swift Leads American Music Awards

The 2015 American Music Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday and Taylor Swift leads the pack!

The singer scored six nominations including the Artist of the Year Award. She previously won the top prize three times and was awarded the first ever Dick Clark Award for Excellence in 2014.

If Taylor sweeps her six categories, she will surpass the late Whitney Houston for the record for most AMA wins with 22 trophies.

Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd – who are both first-time nominess – each earned five nominations.

In addition to Taylor, the Artist of the Year Award field includes Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and The Weeknd.

Fans can vote on the nominees on AMAvote.com or by posting on Twitter and Facebook (post must include the nominee’s name and the category’s hashtag within the post, or the nominee’s Twitter handle and the hashtag #AMAs).

The 2015 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 22, at 8 PM on ABC.
