Taylor Swift: Third AMAs Artist Of The Year Win Inspires Me ‘To Make A Better Next Record’

Taylor Swift had a huge night at Sunday’s American Music Awards, taking home four awards including the top award, Artist of the Year – something she says will inspire to make even better music.

Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson caught up with the 23-year-old after her big night.

“It was an amazing night!” Taylor told Shaun backstage. “The fans keep raising the bar on these fan-voted awards and getting Artist of the Year for the third time is kind of out of control.”

The singer explained that the accolades continue to fuel her music.

“It just makes me want to make a better next record, so that they have something to be proud of and a reason to keep doing that,” she continued.

In addition to scooping up numerous awards, Taylor enjoyed the night’s music, especially Miley Cyrus’ cat-filled performance of “Wrecking Ball.”

“We were going hard on the ‘Wrecking Ball’ situation. There was a whole theatrical thing happening in the front row. I was really into it,” she told Access.

Adding, “I was really enjoying myself tonight. It was like an amazing [show.] I thought there were so many great performances. Great Big World and Christina Aguilera were amazing. Imagine Dragons were fantastic. I just I loved it. I had a great time.”
