The Walking Dead Season 4: Rick Grimes & The Prison Featured In New Key Art

AMC has just released the official key art for Season 4 of “The Walking Dead.”

The poster is similar to Season 3 – and features the same muted color scheme. This time though, a disheveled Rick Grimes stands in front of the broken down prison gate.

In the new season, Rick and the group are fostering a “thriving community in the safe haven of the prison.” But, “happiness is short-lived” and “walkers and outside threats are no match for danger brewing inside the fences. The group’s home and new way of life will be thoroughly tested, and their struggle to survive has never been so perilous,” AMC said in a release.

The new season will feature new characters, including Bob Stookey, played by “The Wire’s” Lawrence Gilliard Jr. Bob is a character from Robert Kirkman’s “TWD” comic series.

“It’s gonna be terrifying,” Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne, told Access Hollywood in July about Season 4. “But it’s also going to be beautifully nuanced in character development and I think that what’s gonna be really exciting is that push-pull of so much amazing, terrifically terrifying action connected and juxtaposed against great character moments. … So, you’ll never be comfortable.”

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, also hinted at the trouble on the way.

“The zombies became sort of manageable at the end of last season and they’re a little less manageable right now — in a very clever way,” he told Access at Comic-Con in July.

“The Walking Dead” returns for Season 4 on October 13 at 9/8c on AMC.
