Beyoncé Changes Song Lyrics After Backlash From Fans And Disability Charity Over Offensive Word

Beyoncé is taking some heat for her new song “Heated.” The “Renaissance” songstress is changing the lyrics in part of her newly released album after facing backlash from fans and a disability equality charity. “Words matter. They reinforce the negative attitudes disabled people face every day,” a rep for Scope, a U.K. nonprofit, said on Twitter. Now, Beyoncé has announced she will change the lyrics, “The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced,” her rep told Insider.
