Britney Spears’ Lawyer Claims Dad Jamie Is Trying To Extort His Daughter: ‘Mr. Spears Should Resign Now’

Britney Spears’ legal team is once again calling for her father, Jamie Spears, to be removed as her co-conservator. “Mr. Spears should resign now, today, before he is suspended,” Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart said in a statement to Access Hollywood. The “Toxic” singer’s legal team is now claiming that Jamie is trying to extort his daughter. “Mr. Spears’s blatant attempt to barter suspension and removal in exchange for approximately $2 million in payments…is a non-starter,” Rosengart said.
