Marilyn Monroe’s Estate Defends Ana De Armas’ ‘Blonde’ Casting Amid Accent Criticism
Marilyn Monroe’s estate is defending Ana de Armas’ casting as the Hollywood legend in the upcoming film “Blonde.” “Based on the trailer alone, it looks like Ana was a great casting choice as she captures Marilyn’s glamour, humanity and vulnerability,” Marc Levin – President of Entertainment at Authentic Brands Group, which owns the estate – told Access Hollywood in part in a statement. The statement comes after some fans took issue with her interpretation of Marilyn’s iconic voice in the recently released trailer for “Blonde.”
