Prince Albert Says He & Princess Charlene Were ‘Hurt’ By ‘Malicious Rumors’ During Her Health Battle

Prince Albert is reflecting on his wife Princess Charlene’s lengthy health battle in South Africa and Switzerland and her return to their family in Monaco earlier this year. While speaking to French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, the royal said his wife “suffered a lot and lived through difficult times, far from her family.” He added, “And we were obviously hurt by the malicious rumors that were peddled. But we were able to stay united despite the distance, we spoke to each other a lot.”
