2026 Walt Disney World Marathon Brings Influencers, Celebrities & More Out

The 2026 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is bringing out runners — from celebrities to influencers and more!
The runDisney event, which took place Jan. 7-11 at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, has been beloved by many celebrities over the past years, including “Bachelor” star Matt James, who ran in the half marathon (13.1 miles) race back in 2024.

During the 2026 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, influencer Jackson Olson participated in the 10k Race. “That felt WAY shorter than 10,000 miles,” he captioned his post.

The events are unique, offering runners the opportunities to run through Disney theme parks, experience fun character meet and greets and earn unique finisher medals.

Other notable stars who have participated in past races include “Lord of the Rings” actor Sean Astin, who previously completed the “Dopey Challenge.” The challenge is where runners compete to complete 48.6 miles in four consecutive days, per a press release.
runDisney is one of the largest race organizers in the United States, with up to 170,000 runners taking part in their races each year, according to a press release.
At Walt Disney World, during the 26.2 mile marathon, runners will get the chance to race through all four of their theme parks, the half marathon goes through Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, while the 5k and 10k races go through EPCOT.
Influencers, celebrities and families alike enjoy making the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend a vacation experience for the entire family, staying at the Disney hotels and experiencing the four theme parks from the races as well as dining at the many restaurants onsite! Families even frequently participate together in the 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and fitness expos together, according to a press release.
