It was a full circle moment for Damson Idris at the “F1” London premiere.
The 33-year-old told Access Hollywood how he manifested working with Brad Pitt when he was working as a theater usher for “The Lion King” in London, and now he’s starring alongside the Oscar winner.
While he was working at the theater, he told Access he spotted Brad and made himself a promise.
“I was selling ice cream and popcorn. I tried to catch him and meet him, but I missed him. He walked out the door and I remember looking at him and being like one day I’m gonna work with him. And here I am,” he told Access and now Brad is gushing about working with him.
“First of all, Damson, has been a great partner on this thing,” Brad told Access Hollywood at the London premiere. “I mean he had to walk in and fill some big shoes to get in these cars and he’s done it and I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of him in the future,” he told Access Hollywood.
In the film, Brad’s character Sonny Hayes, comes out of retirement to help out a struggling Formula 1 team. There he drives alongside the team’s hotshot rookie Joshua Pearce.
“F1” hits theaters June 23.
