Romance rumors have been swirling around “Slumdog Millionaire” stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto.
And now, someone very close to the couple has confirmed it is more than just an on-screen romance.
Dev Patel’s mother, Anita, said her son is dating his sexy “Slumdog” co-star.
“First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place,” Dev’s mother told the UK’s Daily Mirror. “Life can’t get any better for him. Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them.”
Just last week, Dev hopped a flight to Israel to treat his leading lady to a romantic lunch date, where Freida is on location filming “Miral.” The couple was reportedly seen smiling and holding hands, looking very happy to be together.
“Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her,” the actor’s mother said of his quick visit.
The couple is rumored to have begun their relationship on the “Slumdog” set in late 2007, and grew increasingly close while promoting the Oscar-winning film around the world.
News of their romance may not come as a surprise to co-star Anil Kapoor, who reportedly previously described the couple as having “magical chemistry.”
