Alec Baldwin & Hilaria Baldwin Break Silence After Actor Crashes Car Into Tree
Alec Baldwin is speaking out after he was involved in a car crash alongside his brother, Stephen Baldwin, in East Hampton, N.Y., amid the Hamptons International Film Festival. On Oct. 13, Alec, who was driving a white Range Rover with Stephen as a passenger, struck a tree on the “Eastbound shoulder of the roadway” to avoid the “turning action” of a commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services, according to an East Hampton Town Police Department statement obtained by Access Hollywood. The police report also noted that there were “no injuries reported or summons issued,” adding that wet and slippery roads contributed to the incident. Hours after news broke of the accident, the “30 Rock” actor took to Instagram to thank people for their concern as he assured followers that he and his brother were okay. “This morning, I was in this car accident. Guy cut me off in a truck, big garbage truck. I mean, a garbage truck the size of a whale,” he began, later adding, “Anyway, I won’t go into the details now and bore you, but to avoid hitting him, I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree and crushed my car – my wife’s car. I crushed my wife’s car. I feel bad about that. But it’s all fine, and I’m fine, and my brother’s fine. And boppity bop.” Separately, Hilaria also addressed the incident on her Instagram page. “No one was hurt and that’s the most important thing,” she said in part.
