Drew Barrymore is reflecting on the pressures she faced as a child star in Hollywood. During the Jan. 14 episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the actress became visibly emotional while looking at photos of her 10-year-old self, recalling the harsh criticism she received at that age for her appearance. Drew tearfully shared the seemingly endless stream of critiques on her 10-year-old body, including that she was, quote, “too heavy” and didn’t look like how she did in the film “E.T.,” in which she starred at the age of 7.
