Jenna Bush Hager Explains Why Dad George W. Bush Did A Spin Class On His 80th Birthday

George W. Bush had a unique way of celebrating his 80th birthday! The former president’s daughter Jenna Bush Hager revealed on the July 6 episode of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle” that her dad isn’t letting age stop him from pursuing one of his favorite hobbies! “Barb… my sister is with him. I wish I was there,” she said. “She’s putting on a spin class at his favorite little place that he goes to — this local spot in Maine. So all of his family and friends and then they’re gonna have a family dinner,” she added. It’s no surprise the 43rd U.S. commander-in-chief enjoys a spin class — he’s an avid mountain biker who frequently hosts charity rides for wounded veterans. Even though he’s been biking for years, Jenna told her co-host Sheinelle Jones that she still can’t wrap her head around the major milestone he just reached. And in step with classic birthday tradition, the former president has one wish. “They were like, ‘We should call him’ and I was like, ‘He probably doesn’t want to be on TV on his 80th birthday. He wants to be left alone.’ And who are we as his children to make him do stuff?” Jenna said.
