Miley Cyrus Dedicates New Song To Dad Billy Ray Cyrus After Estrangement: ‘Peace Offering’

Miley Cyrus is healing her relationship with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus. On Sept. 19, the music superstar, 32, released a new song “Secrets” and an accompanying music video. In the Instagram announcement for the new track, Miley revealed a special dedication: “This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved. In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same. This song is for my dad.” Reports of an estrangement between the “Flowers” singer and Billy Ray have lingered for the past couple of years, but Miley told The New York Times in May that they’re no longer at odds.
