Paula Abdul Is ‘Proud’ Of Carrie Underwood’s Success After ‘American Idol’

Paula Abdul is getting ready to look back at her life in her upcoming memoir. “It’s a daunting process. I’ve had so many separate and distinct careers that it’s going to be hard to get all the stories in, but I’m really excited about that,” she told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Emily Orozco at the 2023 CMA Awards. The former “American Idol” judge also gushed over Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood. “I feel like a proud aunt, older sister, maybe even mom. I support the amazing talent that I got to see for all nine seasons,” she said.
