Savannah Guthrie & Family Make Emotional Plea For Mother Nancy Guthrie’s Return Home

Savannah Guthrie and her siblings released a tearful video on Feb. 4 asking for their mom Nancy Guthrie’s return home as local and federal authorities continue to investigate her possible abduction. The “TODAY” co-anchor struggled to hold back tears as she emotionally read a note sitting alongside her siblings, Annie and Camron Guthrie. She thanked fans for their ongoing prayers before addressing reports of a possible ransom note, telling her mom’s possible kidnapper that they are “ready to talk.” “However, we live in a world where voices and images are easily manipulated,” Savannah said. “We need to know, without a doubt, that she is alive and that you have her. We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen. Please reach out to us,” she added. Police believe Nancy was taken against her will from her Arizona home four days ago. The 84-year-old was last seen on the night of Jan. 31, when her family dropped her off at home, and was reported missing the following day when she did not show up to church. As of Feb. 4, the FBI had been called in to assist on the case, following reports that possible ransom note referencing Nancy had been sent to two news organizations. Authorities have not substantiated the note. President Donald Trump called Savannah on Feb. 4 and said he would commit to sending more resources to help, per NBC News.
