Amy Schumer Proud Of D-Catch Speech: I Have Cellulite & Still Deserve Love

Amy Schumer continues to speak truth!

After her Glamour UK Women of the Year Awards speech went viral (she told the crowd that she was around 160 lbs. and “can still catch a d*ck whenever I want”), the “Trainwreck” star broke down the inspiration behind her remarks.

“If a guy was like, ‘I can get p*ssy whenever I want,’ that guy would be a d*ckhead. But to deny that there’s a major difference is ridiculous,” she told Glamour for their August issue. “For women, we’re taught to eat less until we disappear. And trained to believe that if you don’t look like everyone else, then you’re unlovable. And men are not trained that way.

“Men can look like whatever and still date a supermodel. I’m proud of what I said,” she continued. “I think it’s good to see somebody saying: I have a belly. And I have cellulite. And I still deserve love. And to catch the old D. And to not apologize.”

“Catching the D” has become a little more complicated for Amy now that she’s a household name, and the comedian admitted her career has “hurt” her dating life.

“Now I have to wonder what people’s intentions are, and also people think that I have more sex than I do. But you know what? I made a decision. I’m gonna do this anyway,” she laughed. “I’m gonna keep speaking up and creating all this work. I could have roped it in and hopefully found a mate. But I made a decision.”

Adding, “And it does feel like sometimes it’s a sacrifice for my love life and social life. Hero alert!”

If she wasn’t busy sacrificing romance to make us laugh, Amy would spend a little “fantasy” time with Tom Hardy.

When asked to describe her perfect dream day, Amy said she’d “wake up at the beach,” eat, play volleyball with sister Kim Caramele, have some great wine and watch the sunset before getting airborne with her guy of choice.

“I get picked up in a helicopter by whatever guy I’m into at the moment and/or Tom Hardy. Actually, I would be like, ‘Tom Hardy, you’re better than this. Why are you f**king me?'” she joked. “We fly around. Make out. Go home. Have sex. Watch a movie. He leaves; [my sister comes] over. We drink scotch and watch ‘Orphan Black.'”

Catch Amy in “Trainwreck” – in theaters July 17.
