Glam Slam: Carey Mulligan’s Gatsby Glamour!

Carey Mulligan rocked a red Lanvin dress and a beautiful, natural looking glow at the New York premiere of her film “The Great Gatsby.”

Here’s how you can go for her red carpet beauty look:

Who:
Celebrity makeup artist George Eisdell

Inspiration:
“My inspiration for Carey’s look came from her red dress. I wanted to keep the look clean and understated with such a strong-colored dress.”

How To:

Skin:
“Her skin was given a good dose of hydration with CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum followed by CHANEL Sublimage Essential Regenerating Fluid and CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Yeux, the perfect base for makeup!”

Foundation:
“I used a combination of CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF15 on the high planes of the face and added a little CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 through the center of the face to give a velvety complexion and a flawless base with an effortless glow. On the apples of her cheeks, I lightly dusted CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love to give contour and a very light pop of color.”

Blush:
“On the apples of her cheeks, I lightly dusted CHANEL Powder Blush in In Love to give contour and a very light pop of color.”

Eyes:
“The eyes were kept very light using CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Dunes. I added depth to Carey’s eye shape by using the light brown and blending it very softly in the crease of her eyes. On the lid, I used the cream shadow shade from the Quad to create a smooth finish to the eye. I finished off the eye with a very fine shadow liner using the darker brown shade on the outer corner of her eye to open them up and give depth to the lash line.”

Mascara:
“I curled the lashes and added two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara Waterproof in Noir. I love using waterproof mascara as it will never smudge. I added a few single lashes to finish the look.”

Lips:
“I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Interlude (available June 2013) on her lips for an easy, effortless hint of color.”
