Katy Perry & Russell Brand Attend Lakers Game… Separately

Awkward!

Tuesday’s Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA season opener had a slew of celebrities in attendance, including courtside staples like Jack Nicholson, David Beckham, Adam Levine and Zac Efron – plus exes Katy Perry and Russell Brand.

Katy, who sported a purple leopard-print dress at the game, was seated next to her father Keith Hudson.

Russell was seen courtside with two unidentified teenage boys.

According to E! News, the pair – who divorced in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage – did not speak or exchange eye contact while the Lakers took on the Dallas Mavericks (the Lakers eventually lost the game).

In June, Katy – who has been linked to John Mayer in recent months – spoke out about her split with Russell, while promoting her concert documentary “Katy Perry: Part of Me”

“I just wanted to encourage people to let them know that it’s okay if they have problems. It’s okay if they’re going through a situation, they don’t have to lay down and die,” the 28-year-old told Access at the time, when asked about including her split in the film.

In July, the British comedian/actor, 35, also addressed their split.

“I still love her as a human being. But, sometimes when you’re in a relationship, I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything. I was very happy to be married with her,” Russell said during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.”
