Khloe Kardashian Defends Prenups, Says Sister Kim Will Be A ‘Bridezilla’

Khloe Kardashian has spoken out in favor of prenuptial agreements on the heels of a report that her sister, Kim Kardashian, and Kim’s fiancé, Kris Humphries, are negotiating a pre-wedding contract to protect their respective assets.

“[Lamar and I] have a prenup. Do you know what kind of day and age this is?! Everybody needs a prenup,” Khloe — who married Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom in September 2009 — told E! at the Forbes Celebrity 100 celebration in Hollywood on Wednesday. “I don’t care if you make $5 or $5 million dollars – you’re protecting yourself.

“Prenups are smart,” she continued. “And when you have businesses together like we do, you have to protect yourself. It doesn’t mean you don’t love them.”

While Khloe appeared enthusiastic in her support of prenups, the 26-year-old reality TV star was less than excited about helping her famous older sister plan for the big day.

“I don’t want to help because Kim is going to be such a bridezilla,” she told People at the Forbes event. “If I do one thing wrong, I’ll be screwed! But I would love to be in the wedding.”

Khloe, whose sisters Kourtney and Kim shared Maid of Honor duties at her wedding to Lamar, revealed Kim has yet to choose a wedding date for the highly anticipated ceremony, but said no matter the date, it will be a grand affair.

“Kim goes big. It’s not going to be small,” Khloe told People. “And I joke and I say it will be like the Royal Wedding, because she is just like that.”

Last Saturday, TMZ reported that Kim and Kris were negotiating a prenup prior to tying the knot. The website reported that the reality star is worth an estimated $35 million, while her fiancé, earns a reported $3.2 million a year playing for the New Jersey Nets.

The couple announced their engagement on May 25 after dating for six months.

A rep for Kim had no comment on the reported prenup when contacted by Access on Saturday.
