Lee Daniels: Oprah & Common Will Guest Star On ‘Empire’

“Empire” has landed two mega-stars for Season 2!

Lee Daniels revealed to Access Hollywood on Thursday that he’s writing roles for both Oprah and Common.

“Yes. Yeah. She’s gonna be on it,” he said of Lady O – who previously starred in “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” – at a screening of “Empire” in Los Angeles.

The “Empire” creator also confirmed that Golden Globe, Grammy and Oscar-winning singer Common would also be making a guest appearance.

“Oh yeah, for sure. For absolutely sure. We’re gonna have a good time,” Lee told Access. “You heard that first.

Common previously told Access that he’d be interested in joining “Empire,” should an opportunity arise.

“I see Lee at the gym and they shoot ‘Empire’ in my hometown of Chicago,” he told Access at the “Run All Night” press junket on Sunday in New York City. “I would be a part of it if it was something that was the right character. I’m all about being a part of really quality things.”

The Season 1 finale of “Empire” airs Wednesday night at 8/7c on Fox.
