Lost Stars Tweet Excitement Over Reports J.J. Abrams To Direct Star Wars: Episode VII

J.J. Abrams reportedly will helm the new “Star Wars” film – “Episode VII” – and a few of his former “Lost” cast members have already chimed in to cheer on the co-creator of their old show.

“Anyone else as pumped as I am that jj abrams is signed on to direct #starwars ? He will CRRRRRRUSH it,” Dominic Monaghan, who played Charlie in “Lost,” Tweeted on Thursday.

Emilie de Ravin, who played Claire on the island series, replied to Dominic’s Tweet and added, “Ahhh…YEAH!!!”

Also lending his approval to the news – “America’s Got Talent” judge and radio host Howard Stern.

“I think it’s great. He’s the best. Smart move,” Howard Tweeted when a fellow Twitter user asked him for his thoughts.

Not a celebrity, but parody twitter account — “Verified Darth” (@SithSarcasm) — noted he approved, but added a warning.

“Rumour has it JJ Abrams will direct the new Star Wars movie. If he screws this one up, going to have to call him ‘Jar Jar’ Abrams,” “Verified Darth” Tweeted.

According to multiple reports, including Deadline and The Wrap, J.J. closed a deal to direct “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
