Madonna To Dolce & Gabbana: ‘Think Before You Speak’

Madonna has joined the ranks of Elton John, Ricky Martin, Martina Navratilova, Andy Cohen and Courtney Love in taking a stand against Dolce & Gabbana.

The pop icon, who appeared in ads for the designers in 2009 and 2010, has spoken out after the Italian designers said they oppose gay adoptions and labeled children created through IVF as “synthetic.”

“All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own,” Madonna captioned a shot of herself holding a baby in an ad from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter 2010 collection on Instagram.

“As above so below! Think before you speak,” Madonna continued in the post.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, in statement on Sunday, Stefano Gabbana said that “it was never our intention to judge other people’s choices,” according to the Associated Press, while Domenico Dolce stated he was expressing his view about family based on his experience, and that he is aware that other types of families are just as legitimate.
