A man was taken from the home of Ving Rhames to St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica earlier today.
Splash News were the first to report the news and claimed that the person taken to hospital by stretcher was the 48-year-old star of “Pulp Fiction,” himself, but new information has surfaced indicating that the man was actually 80-years-old.
Access Hollywood has confirmed that the Los Angeles Fire Department dealt with an incident at one of Rhames’ addresses in the city, earlier today, but could not confirm that it was the star who was taken to the medical facility.
A woman is present in a video shot earlier today of the man being put into the ambulance.
After spotting a camera across the street, the woman is seen on the tape, walking over to the shooter and asking them to switch the camera off. When the videographer declines, the woman is seen swinging at the camera, knocking it to the side.
“Why don’ t you leave. This is a medical emergency,” she is heard saying on the tape.
It is unknown what the man, taken from Rhames’ property is being treated for.
Rhames last made headlines in August of last year when a caretaker at one of his homes was found dead amid suspicions that he had been mauled.
Two 200-pound dogs were suspected in the mauling, but four were found when police arrived. But last month, the Los Angeles coroner’s office concluded that the caretaker died of a heart ailment and not from a dog attack.
