Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Talks 50 Pound Weight Loss

Anyone who has been watching “Dancing with the Stars” has no doubt noticed Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s dramatic weight loss, and no one is more proud of her than her pal Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

“She’s proud of me that I’m fit… because she always had to drag me to the gym,” Nicole told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on Tuesday. “Now, I’m like ‘Let’s go to the gym.’ … We’re kind of like on the same playing level now.”

Asked by Shaun how many pounds she’s lost, Snooki said quite a few.

“Probably like 50. I gained like 45 pounds when I was pregnant and you know, I lost a little bit more,” she explained.

Snooki credits her weight loss success to a healthier lifestyle.

“I don’t drink a lot,” she explained. “That was most of the problem.”

Jenni credits Snooki’s son, toddler Lorenzo, along with her participation in the ABC reality competition for the change in her friend.

“I think it just came with — not even with the show, it just came with Lorenzo. … And with ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” Jenni said. “And [with our show], ‘Snooki & JWoww,’ she’s able to show fans the new her.”

The two women are now entering the third season of their MTV “Jersey Shore” spinoff, a program that shows the women getting on with life and family.

“How difficult was it for you to cut down on the drinking?” Shaun asked.

“When we didn’t film ‘Jersey Shore,’ I didn’t really drink that much,” Snooki said. “Once I had Lorenzo, I’m like, ‘I cannot be hungover taking care of my baby.’ It’s not right.”

Snooki and JWoww are both in committed relationships, but who will get married first?

“I wanna get married ASAP because I want another baby,” Snooki said.

“Snooki & JWoww” premieres Oct. 22 at 10/9c on MTV.
