Tim Burton directed the first Pee-Wee movie, 1985’s “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure,” but the helmer of the next installment is being kept under wraps for now.

“Is it Steven Spielberg?” Jimmy asked.

“Steven Spielberg!” Paul said, while shaking his head.

In addition to the fan-favorite 1985 film (which had dialogue gems like,” You don’t wanna get mixed up with a guy like me. I’m a loner, Dottie. A rebel,” and “Be sure and tell ’em Large Marge sent ya!”) the character was seen in 1988’s “Big Top Pee-Wee.”
