Ryan Reynolds Totally Fell For Hugh Jackman & Jake Gyllenhaal’s Hilarious Holiday Prank

Three’s a crowd? Ryan Reynolds didn’t find his famous pals’ holiday joke quite so funny.

The “Deadpool” star was planning to join Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal for a little Christmas cheer this week, but he apparently got the wrong memo.

Ryan showed up wearing a festive red-and-green sweater with a giant gold bow in the center, thinking he’d nailed the seasonal attire. Unfortunately, his friends were way ahead of him.

“These f***ing a**holes said it was a sweater party,” Ryan wrote on Instagram, captioning two photos of himself looking rather unamused next to the casually-dressed Hugh and Jake.

Ryan’s fellow actors couldn’t have appeared more pleased, laughing and congratulating each other on their fake-out success.

The 42-year-old Canadian wasn’t the only target, however.

Hugh had a bit more fun with the snaps on his own Insta page, adding Wolverine claws and a Deadpool mask on his and Ryan’s images, respectively. But Jake superfans went wild for a sly nod to his 2001 cult movie “Bubble Boy,” which Hugh referenced by putting Jake’s head inside a glowing orb.

“Enough said,” the Aussie captioned his updated pic.

While Ryan may have been the butt of a friendly prank, at least he made it inside to catch the punchline.

His “Deadpool 2” castmate Josh Brolin chimed in on Ryan’s post to reveal that he didn’t even get that far.

“I’m still outside knocking,” he teased.

Can we score an invite next year, guys?
