If Vanessa Hudgens ever threw you shade or gave you side eye – don’t sweat it, she was just dealing with the side effects of dating Zac Efron.
Zac and Vanessa began dating in 2007 and at the height of their romance, another side of the actress was unleashed, all thanks to Zac’s army of rabid fans – you know who you are!

“I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up,” the “High School Musical” alum recently told The New York Times.

Vanessa was not a fan of her boyfriend’s fans; in fact, she did her best to put them in their place!
“Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares,” the 26-year-old said.
But then Vanessa saw the error of her shady ways, and learned how to embrace the herds of fans chanting Zac’s name (and dodging her death stares).

“Then I realized that’s not what that’s about.’Spread the love, be a good person, they support you, be nice,'” she explained.
Vanessa and Zac split in 2010. She went on to date actor Austin Butler. Zac has been linked to a slew of ladies since Vanessa, including Michelle Rodriguez. He is currently dating model Sami Miro.
