Ana Barbosu Receives Olympic Bronze Medal In Ceremony After Jordan Chiles Stripped Of Award

Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu has been awarded the Olympic bronze medal that was stripped from Team USA’s Jordan Chiles. Barbosu received the award in a ceremony in Bucharest on Friday, Aug. 16. The recognition event comes 11 days after the women’s floor exercise final at the 2024 Paris Olympics that has been surrounded by controversy. Chiles was originally awarded the bronze medal in the event on Aug. 5 after judges changed her score as a result of an inquiry from her coaches, bumping Barbosu from the podium.
