Andrew Garfield Says He ‘Starved’ Himself ‘Of Sex And Food’ While Preparing For 2016 ‘Silence’ Role

Andrew Garfield is reflecting on getting into character for a role back in 2016. The 39-year-old was on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast and he looked back on preparing for his role in “Silence,” where he played a Christian missionary. He revealed the lengths he went to in order to prepare for the role, including studying Catholicism, fasting, and even becoming celibate for six months.
