Ashley Judd ‘Would’ve Bled To Death’ If She Was Transported To Europe After Catastrophic Leg Injury

Ashley Judd is looking back at her catastrophic injury in the Congo, revealing that she “would’ve bled to death” if she had been transported to Europe. The 53-year-old actress shattered her right leg in four places during a hike in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in February 2021. While talking to Kate Roberts on her podcast, “Sex, Body and Soul” she said she barely survived the 55-hour rescue. “When I got to South Africa my leg didn’t have a pulse and I was hemorrhaging, and if I had been medevaced to Europe I would’ve bled to death,” she said.
