Aubrey Plaza & Late Husband Jeff Baena’s Family Get Love In Director Brady Corbet’s Golden Globes Speech

Aubrey Plaza received a heartfelt acknowledgment at the 2025 Golden Globes in the wake of husband Jeff Baena’s death. Best director winner Brady Corbet sent his support to the actress during his acceptance speech. “Finally, tonight my heart is with Aubrey Plaza and Jeff’s family,” Corbet said at the end of his speech. Baena, who was a writer and director, died on Jan. 3 at his home. According to a report obtained by Access Hollywood, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide by hanging.
