Benson Boone Reflects On Writing Hit Song ‘Beautiful Things’: ‘I Think Vulnerability Is A Strength’

Benson Boone’s “Slow It Down” is quickly rising up the charts! It’s the follow up to his hit song “Beautiful Things” off of his just-released debut full-length album “Fireworks & Rollerblades.” There are a ton of beautiful things in this 21-year-old’s life right now, including a world tour! Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans exclusively chatted with him at his tour rehearsal right before he hit the road. He talked about his excitement for tour, his “American Idol” experience and journey since, and the relatability of “Beautiful Things.” “I think vulnerability is a strength. Especially in a relationship with someone that you love or like or want to love, you’ve got to be vulnerable,” he said of the song’s candid lyrics. Benson and Scott also tried their hand at rollerblading in a nod to the singer’s album title! Details on Benson’s Fireworks & Rollerblades World Tour are on his website.
