Bradley Cooper Gets Honest About Fatherhood: ‘I’m Not Sure I’d Be Alive If I Wasn’t A Dad’

Bradley Cooper is getting honest about fatherhood. The actor, 49, appeared on the Feb. 26 episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast “Armchair Expert” and he opened up about what being dad to his 6-year-old daughter has been like. “Honestly, I’m not sure I’d be alive if I wasn’t a dad…I just needed someone to say, ‘We’re gonna drop this massive anchor,’ and I’m like, ‘Why? We’re speeding. We just got an upgrade on the boat and I know where the wind is coming in.’ And they’re like, ‘No, there’s a tsunami coming and you need an anchor and we’re gonna drop it. This is going to dictate everything you do from now on. Your DNA is going to tell you there’s something more important than you,'” he said. Bradley, who shares Lea with his ex Irina Shayk, also revealed what being a dad has meant to him and what he hopes he can instill in his daughter. Bradley loves hanging out with Lea and she made her red carpet debut at the premiere of her father’s Oscar-nominated film “Maestro” back in Dec.
