Cameron Diaz Almost Lost ‘The Mask’ Role to This Surprising Reality Star

Cameron Diaz wasn’t a shoo-in with landing her star role in “The Mask.” Ahead of the beloved movie’s 25th anniversary, the flick’s director, Chuck Russel, revealed that he originally had Anna Nicole Smith in mind to star opposite of Jim Carrey. Chuck also admitted that it took a lot of convincing to cast Cameron because it was her first acting role.
