Céline Dion Hopes To Return To The Stage Amid Stiff Person Syndrome Diagnosis: ‘I Have Missed It’

Céline Dion isn’t letting her recent health issues stop her from performing. The 55-year-old singer is documenting a pivotal part of her life in her upcoming Amazon Prime Video documentary “I Am: Céline Dion.” The project will give fans an intimate look at the Grammy winner’s career and her private life as she continues to battle her stiff person syndrome diagnosis. “This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me,” Céline wrote in a statement. “As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have realized how much I have missed it, of being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, to help others who share this diagnosis,” she added. “I Am: Céline Dion” comes two years after the singer-songwriter revealed her diagnosis in a heartfelt video posted on Instagram.
