Charlie Kirk’s Alleged Assassin Tyler Robinson Confessed Killing To Roommate, Prosecutors Claim
The man accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk allegedly confessed to his roommate, prosecutors claim. In a Sept. 16 press conference, Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray announced the state would be seeking the death penalty against Tyler Robinson as he laid out the multiple charges against the 22-year-old. Gray also claimed that Robinson texted his roommate, with whom authorities say he appeared to be romantically involved, to check under a keyboard where there was a note which allegedly said, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.” Gray continued to claim that Robinson sent incriminating messages to his roommate, including one that allegedly said he “had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.” Shortly after the conference, Robinson appeared virtually from jail in front of a judge. He has yet to enter a plea.
