Charlie Kirk’s Wife Erika Kirk Tears Up As Donald Trump Awards Him Posthumous Medal Of Freedom

Erika Kirk got emotional while paying tribute to late husband Charlie Kirk on what would have been his 32nd birthday. The right-wing activist’s widow appeared alongside President Donald Trump at the White House Rose Garden on Oct. 14, where Trump awarded Charlie a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom. Erika accepted the honor on Charlie’s behalf and was seen wiping tears while reflecting on the legacy he leaves behind and whether she thinks he would have been Commander-in-Chief one day. The ceremony comes one month after Charlie was assassinated during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University, where he was debating students on campus as part of his “America Comeback Tour.” The TurningPoint USA founder was a divisive figure whose controversial rhetoric drew intense support and backlash. He and the former Miss Arizona USA, 36, married in 2021 and share two young children. In her remarks, Erika delivered a heartfelt message from her and Charlie’s 3-year-old daughter: “Happy birthday, daddy. I want to give you a stuffed animal. I want you to eat a cupcake with ice cream. And I want you to go have a birthday surprise. I love you.”
