Christie Brinkley Breaks Silence on Ex-Husband Billy Joel’s Brain Disorder Diagnosis

Christie Brinkley is sending support to Billy Joel following his serious health update. On Saturday, May 24, the model took to Instagram to share words of encouragement to her ex-husband, who is also the father of her eldest child, Alexa Ray Joel, after he revealed his brain disorder diagnosis. Her post featured a video of herself and daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook, whom she shares with ex Peter Cook, at one of Joel’s concerts and included clips of the singer on stage. “Dear Billy, The whole Brinkley gang is sending you lots of love and good wishes for a full and speedy recovery. I was looking for some cute photos of you and Alexa to send you, when I came across this clip from a recent concert. It made me laugh ..but it also reminded me of all the joy you create, and all the sensational [sing-alongs] you’ve lead,” Brinkley began. She continued, “You turn an arena of strangers into a living room full of friends as we all sway in unison .. I’m sure I’m speaking for everyone in that room when I say please take good care of yourself, we all want you back in that white hot spotlight, you’re OUR piano man. And we’re always in the mood for your melodies. And we all hope you’re feeling alright!” The 71-year-old signed off sending love from herself and her children. “We Love You, the kids, me and an arena or two!” she said. In addition to Sailor and Alexa, Brinkley has a son Jack with ex-husband Richard Taubman though he was later adopted by the model’s then-husband, Peter Cook.
