Donald Trump Calls George Clooney A ‘Second Rate Movie Star’ After ’60 Minutes’ Interview

Donald Trump is criticizing George Clooney for a recent interview where the actor called out the president. The Oscar winner slammed government for not liking ‘freedom of the press’ in the most recent episode of ’60 Minutes.’ “We’re seeing this idea of using government to scare or find or use corporations to make journalists smaller. Governments don’t like the freedom of the press,” Clooney said in the piece where he also mentioned Trumps legal battles against several new outlets. In a Mar. 23 post on Truth social, Trump reacted to the comments writing in part, “Why would the now highly discredited 60 Minutes be doing a total “puff piece” on George Clooney, a second rate movie “star,” and failed political pundit.”
