Donald Trump & Elon Musk Reunite For ‘Lovely’ Dinner With Melania Trump After Public Feud
Is President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s bromance back on? The commander-in-chief and the tech mogul appear to be patching things up months after a public falling-out. Trump and Musk were spotted dining together with First Lady Melania Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Jan. 3, with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO sharing a positive takeaway from the meeting. “Had a lovely dinner last night with @POTUS and @FLOTUS,” Musk wrote on X, sharing a photo of the trio chatting at their table. He went on to hint that he and Trump may have plans to work together again, adding, “2026 is going to be amazing!” The pair’s get-together marks a notable reunion considering their explosive rift in 2025 during which Musk openly criticized Trump’s signature “Big, Beautiful Bill” spending legislation and even suggested on X that the president should be impeached. For his part, Trump had posted on Truth Social that government subsidies to Musk’s companies should be eliminated and told reporters in the Oval Office over the summer that he was “disappointed” in Musk and didn’t know if their relationship could be salvaged. They had previously seemed inseparable following Musk’s sizable donations to Trump’s campaign and his appointment to co-chair the now-dissolved Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. As for where things currently stand for the duo, Trump told News Nation after his and Musk’s Mar-a-Lago dinner that he still thinks of him positively. “Elon’s great. I say about Elon: He’s 80% super genius and 20% he makes mistakes. But he’s a good guy. He’s a well-meaning person.”
