Elizabeth Smart was only 14 years old when she was abducted from her home in Utah and held captive for nine months until she was rescued. She’s gone on to write numerous books and work as an advocate and activist for missing persons. Elizabeth sat down with Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall to discuss her journey. She also spread awareness about the case of Elizabeth Thomas, was kidnapped by one her community’s most beloved teachers. Thomas’ story is being told in the new Lifetime movie “Abducted By My Teacher: The Elizabeth Thomas Story,” which Smart executive produced. “Abducted By My Teacher” is streaming now on Lifetime.
