Former TikTok Star Ali Abulaban Found Guilty Of 2021 Murders Of His Wife & Her Friend
A former Tiktok star from San Diego has been convicted for the 2021 murder of his wife and her friend. On May 29, the jury found Ali Abulaban guilty of two counts of 1st degree murder using a firearm for the killing of his wife, Ana Abulaban and her friend, Rayburn Barron, according to NBC 7. The 32-year-old, who went by the name “JinnKid” on social media, has been in prison since the day of the Oct. 2021 murders and confessed to the killings during the trial, per the outlet. Since there was no dispute that he killed the victims, the jurors were tasked with deciding if the murders were intentional and premeditated or it happened in the heat of passion. The jury started deliberating on May 24 about a month after the trial began and came back with the verdict on Wednesday. When the judge read the first verdict, the gallery reportedly erupted into cheers as Ali wiped tears away from his eyes, according to NBC 7. Ali is scheduled to be sentenced on June 28 and could receive up to life in prison.
