George Clooney Speaks Out on His Viral Op-ed Which Urged Joe Biden To Step Aside: ‘Selfless Thing’

George Clooney has words of praise for President Joe Biden. The actor was asked at the press conference for his and Brad Pitt’s upcoming film “Wolfs” at the Venice International Film Festival what he thought the impact of his viral July 10 New York Times Op-ed was where he urged President Biden to not seek reelection. “I’ve never had to answer that question so I suppose I’ll do it here,” the Academy Award winner began, adding, “The person who should be applauded is the president, who did the most selfless thing that anybody’s done since George Washington and that’s the truth.”
