Gypsy Rose Blanchard Explains Why Her Haircut Means So Much To Her 1 Month After Prison Release

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has a new ‘do for a good cause! The woman, 32, who was released early from prison in December, took to her Instagram on Jan. 28 to share a photo showing that she made a big change to her hair by cutting it. “It’s never too late to start reinventing yourself, even if it is something subtle like a new hairstyle. To all the girls, boys, and non binary…Enjoy life, express yourself in whatever creative ways that may you happy. Life is too short to hide your beauty let the world see you shine,” she wrote. Gypsy also shared a video explaining her decision to cut 8 inches off. Gypsy was serving a 10-year prison sentence on a second-degree murder charge for the June 2015 killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She plotted to kill her mom after Dee Dee abused her and forced her to fake illnesses while she was growing up. Gypsy conspired to kill her mother with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, who fatally stabbed Dee Dee in her Springfield, Miss., home.
