Gypsy Rose Blanchard Reveals Why Prison Was ‘The Most Freedom’ She’d Ever Had

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is looking back at her time in prison. The 32-year-old, who until last month had been serving a 10-year prison sentence, told Access Hollywood why prison was “the most freedom” she’d ever had. “When I first got to prison, prison was the most freedom I’ve ever had,” she said. “I mean it was confined; however, I was still able to make friends and do things that I wasn’t able to do living with my mom. I got to discover who I am as a person.” Gypsy also told Access that she believes her mom, Dee Dee Blanchard, put a voodoo curse on her which would prevent her from finding love. The social media star also talked about her new Lifetime docuseries, “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,” which is streaming now as well as her forthcoming book, “Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom” which is also out now.
